We at First Class Diamonds take great pride in being one of the first companies to contribute a pre-determined percentage of our gross profits to a charitable cause. We believe in helping others and building together for a brighter, happier tomorrow.
 

The Hamlet Foundation:

The Hamlet Foundation was founded in 1954 by a group of parents whose children were exempted from normal schooling. It has grown and developed to include a school for 270 intellectually disabled children, a residential centre for 43 intellectually disabled adults and a protective workshop for 140 intellectually disabled adult workers.

Our focus is on development and empowerment of the individual towards achieving their maximum potential, enabling them to lead as normal a life as possible. A support system is provided to siblings and parents and to the broader community.

The foundation is responsible for meeting the shortfalls on the budgets of all three centres which are partially subsidised by the government. We are totally dependent on the generosity and support of the corporate sector and the general public for the funding that enables us to sustain our services to this very vulnerable sector of society. We are totally multiracial and ensure that our services are accessible to the poorest of the poor.
